To take a screen shot and save it as a picture

  1. Click the window you want to capture. Press Alt+Print Screen by holding down the Alt key and then pressing the Print Screen key. The Print Screen key is near the upper-right corner of your keyboard.
    • You can take a screen shot of your entire desktop rather than just a single window by pressing the Print Screen key without holding down the Alt key.
  2. Click Start, click Accessories, and then click Paint.
  3. In the Paint window, click Edit, and then click Paste.
  4. When the image appears in the Paint window, click File, and then click Save As.
  5. In the Save As dialog box, in the File name box, type a name for the screen shot, and then click Save.
You can now print or email the saved screen shot just like you would any other picture.

Internet safety is extremely important! Many people do not know the risks involved in using the internet. Yes, the web is very useful to us for social, educational, and business reasons, but it won't be such a good thing if we get into lots of trouble. Hazards especially become common and more possible if personal information is set out so anyone can see it. People could use phone numbers, addresses, names and anything to track someone down. After that, who knows what could happen? Rape and murder are among several of the things that have happened from too much information being put on the web. Be safe!

Using Microsoft Word

Using Microsoft Word seems like it would be so simple. Turn on the computer, click on Microsoft Word, type out your report or assignment really quick, and print it off. Sure this way works, but it is less efficient and you don't get to use the program to its full potential. Now that I'm older and have spent years using Microsoft Word the wrong way, it's going to be difficult to learn how to properly use it. Learning how to use all the buttons, files, and so forth that the program has to offer is an interesting experience for an 11th grader. Even still, once I get the hang of it, I know that when I finally master it, it will be so beneficial to me and definitely worth the time and effort that I put into learning it!

What is a blog? A blog is a type of website that is updated regularly with new posts that usually contain pictures, videos, and other forms of media. It is often written informally and most blogs reflect personal interests, experiences, or opinions. People who blog are called bloggers. Bloggers can be anyone, actually. People young and old, from different countries or races, all blog. It is unlimited. Many people blog because they think its fun, or in other words, it's their hobby! However, there are people who blog and get paid for it. Some people's blogs even get made into a book or movie. This is rare, but it has happened. What people blog about is also unlimited. Someone could dedicate an entire blog to explaining why they like horses so much, or why hair-bows are pretty. I don't know how they would come up with enough to say, but somehow, some people do. Many blogs are for businesses or political opinions, trying to get attention on a certain topic. Nevertheless, whatever someone chooses to blog about or why, many blogs have proven effective and interesting!
