Power Point Presentations...

There is a lot of advice on the web on how to make good Power Point presentations and a couple of the ideas I found are:
  • Decide what you want your presentation to be about- you want your information to tie back and to make sense and support your reason for creating the Power Point.
  • Condense your information- use only what you need because paragraphs in a Power Point presentation make the whole thing boring and ramble on.
  • Plan the structure for your Power Point- like an essay, your presentation needs structure to keep it so it's not messy and confusing.
  • Use as little text as possible- plan on what you're going to say with your presentation before you present it so you aren't reading off of it the whole time. Use bulleted lists.
  • Use informative graphics- pictures capture the audience's attention more than words do, so use lots to explain the point that you're trying to get across.

I found most of my ideas from this site.
